What we collect
When you send a booking enquiry we collect the name, email address, telephone number and country you provide, together with the hunting area, package, dates and party size you tell us about, the content of your message, and the IP address the enquiry was sent from. We collect nothing else, and the website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we hold it
We use your details for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you book, to organise your hunt — licences, tags, transfers and lodging. We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after three years. Records relating to a booking are kept for seven years, as required for Canadian tax and outfitting licence purposes, and then destroyed.
Where it is stored
Enquiries are stored on servers we control, accessible only to staff who need them to do their job. Access is protected by individual accounts and hashed passwords, and the site is served over an encrypted connection.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@dearhuntersexpeditions.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets a single session cookie, used only to keep your enquiry form secure against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser. No analytics, advertising or social media cookies are set.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be notified by email.
