Timberline Lodge

Our main whitetail lodge: a timber-framed house on the edge of the concession with ten private rooms, a walk-in cooler and a wood stove that runs all November.

Timberline is where most of our whitetail hunters stay, and it was built for the way we hunt. It sits inside the concession, so nobody spends an hour on the road before daylight — the furthest stand is twenty-five minutes away and most are under ten.

The main floor is one large room: a long dining table, a sitting area around the wood stove, and windows facing the bluff where deer feed most evenings. Hunters have their own rooms upstairs rather than sharing bunk space, which matters on a six-day hunt when someone in camp is inevitably up at four.

Meals come out of a proper kitchen. Breakfast is cooked to order before first light, lunch is hot and served back at the lodge between sits, and dinner is a sit-down meal — roasts, stews, fresh bread, pie. We can accommodate most dietary requirements with notice.

Behind the lodge are the drying room, the game care shed with its walk-in cooler, and a workshop where rifles can be checked on the range. Satellite internet reaches the main room, and there is enough cell signal on the hill for a call home.
